The Family Behind the Corn

At La Mazorca de Oro, everything starts with family.

Our story began many years ago in a small family tortillería, where our founder grew up surrounded by the smell of fresh masa and warm tortillas. His parents taught him that food made with love brings people together, and that lesson became the heart of everything we do today.

As he got older, so did his curiosity about corn. He wanted to learn more about it: how it’s grown, processed, and milled into the masa that families use every day. It became more than just an ingredient, but a tradition, livelihood, and a symbol of culture. From this, he decided to carry his family’s legacy forward in a new way.

In 2021, La Mazorca de Oro was born!

Since then, our family has worked together to build a company that stays true to it’s roots while expanding into the future. La Mazorca de Oro has since been known to provide non-GMO dry corn products to tortillerías throughout California. Every season, our family is busy choosing the best non-GMO corn available in the industry and making sure every corn product we produce is filled with love and honesty.

We work with farmers, vendors, and tortillerías from all over the nation, with one promise:

To always deliver great quality and great service.

As we continue to expand, La Mazorca de Oro uncovers new products to better expand our community. Today, La Mazorca de Oro offers a variety of corn products from non-GMO dry corn, to uncooked hominy, traditional masa, sweet tamale masa’s, and cooked nixtamalized corn. We proudly serve as a family-operated business built on heritage, love, and hard work.

We continue to expand the corn products we offer in pursuit of better serving you. For us corn isn’t just about work, it’s our family, our pride, and our way of life.
